Botia kubotai The more melanistic (black) variant of this species has the vertical stripes joined by a lateral line stripe, forming the ovals of base color. Additionally, small white/blue to sky blue spots are distributed within the black and increase with age. | |

Yasuhikotakia nigrolineata Very variable. May resemble pattern of Y. sidthimunki, but lateral stripe generally very bold in juveniles and straighter than in Y. sidthimunki. Head also somewhat slimmer. Grows much larger. |
